How to compete with the Supermarkets?

One of the problems for us as a small independent firework retailer is how to get our Customers to bypass the fireworks in Asda, Tesco etc. and walk across the road to our firework shop.  Although we are convinced we offer better products, better service and a specialist knowledge, if potential customers don’t know who you are or where you are they won’t come and visit you.  It is frustrating as we are open all year and then for the peak season get massive competition from the supermarkets looking to turn a quick profit!

So this year, what are we doing different?

Well I’m really excited again!  We are launching a billboard campaign, starting on 7th October and running for a month.  Sadly, (due to cost), this will not be a national launch where you see www.stealthfireworks.com everywhere you look but will focus heavily on a 30 miles radius of our shop.  So if you are travelling anywhere in the Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire area look out for our giant yellow posters

It may not stop everyone from ‘picking up a selection box’ at the supermarket but we do hope that it will increase awareness as we truly believe that our price crash offers make us at least as competitive as the supermarkets and with what we believe to be a superior product.
